Tenth Year of Projects - Week 16

So I completely forgot to do this last week!!

Ongoing works in progress:
1)  Sorta Shortie Christmas Socks - Over the past two weeks I have made some progress on these socks.  I now have the first sock complete and am moving down the foot on the second sock!

2) Slipstravaganza - this is a mystery shawl knit along by Stephen West.  The clues come out every Friday and I cast  this on on October 9th.  We got a bonus clue the first week!  I am done clue number one and have three rows to go on the bonus clue and then I am ready to start the second clue (which was released on October 16th).  I have not looked at that clue yet so I have no idea what to expect!  I won't show any pictures of the shawl here because I don't want to spoil the surprise/mystery for anyone, but I do show it in my podcast if you are curious (and there are some pictures on my Ravelry project page).

I just posted a new video on Saturday in case you want to check it out!  I would be so happy if you subscribed to my little channel ♥

Tenth Year of Projects - Week 14

Ongoing works in progress:
1) Tegna - I did lose yarn chicken, but I have located one skein!  I have paid for it already and it will be in the mail to me shortly, so I will be able to get my sleeves knit soon!  I did add the neckline this past week and all the tails are tucked in!

2) Sock Scrap-ghan - I finally picked this up again and added eleven more squares!  I now have 45 squares left to go (and the border).  It was good to get more done on this one over the past week.

3) Sorta Shortie Christmas Socks - I cast on a pair of socks on Thursday and am making great progress on them!  I am hoping to add more to my Christmas box of socks!  I am using one of the yarns that I recently bought (one of the West Yorkshire Spinners yarns).

Tenth Year of Projects - Week 6

This week has given me a finished object, a new cast on, and some progress on my other two projects!

Finished Object:
1) Felted Coasters - This was a fun, quick, and easy project!  It is a pattern by Berroco and used up most a a worsted weight skein of 100% wool from my stash.  I made six coasters and tossed them in my washing machine - the water does not get overly hot so I tossed them into the dryer to decide if they needed another run through.  Then my dryer died...  It is a used one we bought second hand four years ago.  The heating coil went. We ordered a new coil and hopefully it will be here soon so the hubby can fix it. Then I will run the coasters through the wash and dry once more to felt them down a bit more - they are a drop too big now...

Before Felting
After Felting (once)

Ongoing works in progress:

1) Sock Scrap-ghan - I managed to add 8 more squares to my scrap wrap!  I now need to add 66 more squares to get this to completion. Here is an updated picture (the stitch markers - if you can see them - are the squares I added in the past week.

2)
Tegna - this is a summer sweater by Caitlin Hunter.  I cast this on June 28th and am making decent progress on it.  I have added roughly another inch of stockinette this week.  It is still a long way from completion, but I am making progress!  It is about 12 inches from the cast on edge now (unblocked).

3) Mini Sweater #1 - I have joined a group (Wayfaring Yarns Designs and Sweater Sisters Designs) for their annual mini sweater knit along. Each week on Monday they email out a pattern for a mini sweater (4 in total).  This is my progress on sweater #1.  I have to add in the sleeves and it is all done!  I imagine I should get it finished this afternoon.  Tomorrow will bring out the second pattern!  I enjoy working on these!!  I am using scraps of my own hand dyed fingering weight yarn and 2.5mm needles.

I also spend some time showing my progress on my projects on my podcast.  I just posted a new video on Friday in case you want to check it out!  I would be so happy if you subscribed to my little channel ♥

WIP-it Down Week Thanksgiving 2018 - Day 7

Here we are back for another day on my self-imposed WIP-it Down Week!

Yesterday I got a goodly amount done, plus we went out and did some shopping too.  I finished the ribbing section on the two front panels of my Rowe Cardigan.  Here is what it looks like now:

And I cast on the ribbing portion of my Advent 2018 Scarf.  I think my hand dyed yarn will work out just fine!  I am excited for the new clues to begin coming out every day later this week!  Here is what the ribbing looks like:

We also went out and did some shopping yesterday.  I found a few things - a couple knitting books, some little Christmas decoration things (lights - which will probably make an appearance in my next podcast), and a laminator (found this at my local Goodwill for $4 - I have no sheets for it so I will have to wait to test it out!)

I am not 100% sure what today holds!  I am thinking I may do some sewing and work on a project bag - I just need to decide on what pattern to try!  I suspect it will be a drawstring bag with a boxed bottom.  And the first clue for Skeindeer's Mystery Mittens (Julenatt) came out earlier this morning.  I imagine I will cast those on today as well.  The second clue comes out on the weekend.  I think I may be missing the point of my WIP-it Down Week!!  hehe  Here is my yarn selection for the mystery mittens:
