The second project is my 12 Days of Christmas Afghan. Each month I make one square and add it to the rest so that by Christmas I will have a complete afghan :) This month: three french hens (not the turtle doves as I originally posted...):
The third project is a LONG lasting ongoing project. I started making all the squares from Barbara Walker's Learn to Knit Afghan book. I began this a few years ago and am currently up to square 47 (out of 64). Maybe this project will be done by the end of 2011... Here is my progress on square number 47:
1. That sock is really quite handsome. I love the detailing.
ReplyDelete2. The twelve days of Christmas afghan is a brilliant idea. I am looking forward to seeing it develop.
3. I've always wanted to do one of those things where you go through a whole book. What are you going to do with the finished squares though? That's what always stumps me.
I am in awe of your speedy sock-knittingness. It takes me ages to finish a pair! Those are going to be super cute when they're finished! And about the 12 Days of Christmas... Unless you're rearranging the verses, it's two turtle doves. Just thought I'd toss that in there. :)

Pretty socks! They wouldn't be express for me, they would take forever ;-).
ReplyDeleteI love how you're disciplined enough to go through all the afghan squares. Do they all go together? (The 64 ones)?
Thanks for the comments :) I will be adding a crochet border on all the Learn to Knit squares and putting them all together to make an afghan. They are slightly different sizes so after blocking and borders they will be good to put together.
ReplyDeleteSigh... Apparently I am not awake enough at 6am to write in my blog. I meant to write three french hens (the two turtle doves are already made)...
