Year of Projects Update #4



Missed a week in posting my update here.  I have had a fairly productive couple weeks.  I am getting closer to completing my vanilla socks - another inch or so to knit and I am ready to begin the toe decreasing!


My exciting news - I have finished designing my very first pair of socks!!  I have one sock completely knit and have the pattern all written up.  I am planning to post it over on Ravelry to have it tested for accuracy. Once the test knitting is done I will post the pattern on my Ravelry design page!  UPDATE!!  Here is a link to the test page on Ravelry!!



I have made no progress on the mystery socks and I have not touched my lace scarf...

    I'm impressed, designing seems so tricky and those socks (that sock?) look GREAT. Good job!

    I, too, am working on a sock design...but you are much further than I am (even though I've had the design "written" since March). ::sigh:: I need to find my knitting mojo, I guess :(

    Love both of the socks. I am impressed by anyone that designs. I might be interested in helping you test knit. Let me know when you put it on the test knitting site on Ravelry. I check there pretty often.

    Gorgeous socks and design! I thought I was doing well just knitting some much less designing. I love the first pair but it looks like a lot of work with all those colors and motifs. Keep up the great work!

      Thanks :) The yarn in the first sock is self striping - the yarn comes already set and I only have to knit around in circles - no tricky knitting involved at all.

    I love the first pair and I did wonder if it was self striping yarn--which I see from your comment above that it is. Well done on designing-I would not even know where to begin with that endeavor!
