Sixth Year of Projects - Week 19: It's been a while since I posted... I have been busy with school and keeping up with teaching and grading, but have also managed to get some crafting done (not a lot, but some!)
1) Coffee Cantata (Sock Madness 10 Round 6 socks) - Zero progress here. I have not touched these in over a month or longer!! I might frog these as I am just not feeling the love.
3) Sock scrap-ghan - I have added a few more little squares to this project. I have 89 squares now and am still a long way fro being done!
4) Scrappie - I cast this on in the beginning of October and have not worked on it much in the past several weeks. I need to get back to it and get it done - it is a fun pattern and great for using up scraps!
5) And I have been working on a new sock design. It is getting closer to completion and will hopefully be ready for testing in the next couple weeks!
You have some good, solid progress here which is terrific considering you're a teacher. I taught a year of fourth and a couple of years of fifth so I know how it is for you. Yay on getting in some crafting time to keep ya sane.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I actually teach at the university level but the crafting is still an outlet to keep me sane!
DeleteI see progress and some great projects.Too bad you're not feeling the coffee canata socks. They really are very pretty
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty. Maybe I will set them into time out for a bit longer and give them another try later.
DeleteWhen I was teaching fulltime evening knitting saved my sanity! Love the progress on your sock yarn blanket. How big are you hoping to make it?
ReplyDeleteI am not sure how big it will be - likely not a queen or king size! I have been working on it for a fairly long time and it is still quite small.
DeleteIt's too bad you're not loving the Coffee Cantata socks. The design looks very interesting. Looks like you've got lots of things to keep your interest in knitting going whenever you have time to pick it up. :)
ReplyDeleteThe design is very interesting and very complicated - each and every round is detailed and different...
DeleteThey are all looking great!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThat Celtic Myth shawl is gorgeous! I am adding it to my queue!
ReplyDeleteIt is a pleasant knit too!
DeleteYou have great projects going there. I really like your first socks, they look so intricate, it will be a shame if you do frog them as I would love to see what they look like finished :) Your design work looks fantastic too well done. I have just started a sock yarn blanket and have a very loooooooong way to go but your progress has inspired me xx
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am happy my sock yarn blanket progress has inspired you!! It is a fun project - but a long term one!
